VisualBasicExtensionsGetTypeCharacter Method



Returns the Type character for a given syntax token. This returns type character for Identifiers or Integer, Floating Point or Decimal Literals. Examples: Dim a$ or Dim l1 = 1L

Parameters

token
Type: Microsoft.CodeAnalysisSyntaxToken
The source SyntaxToken.

Return Value

Type: TypeCharacter
A type character used for the specific Internal Syntax Token Types.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type SyntaxToken. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
